Unbelievably, it was a year ago last Friday we went into the studios at The Soundhouse with our Harry’s Home cast and recorded Hannah Puddefoot’s audio drama about an Alzheimer’s sufferer who moves back into the family home.
One year on, the final mix is finished and we’re almost ready to share it…

First though, Some special thanks yous to members of the team who joined us for the post-production side of things. One of the reasons why post has taken the best part of a year is… well, if good people agree to help you out of pure generosity, they’re also doing to be very busy doing their day jobs.
Doing exceptional work on Harry’s Home as Sound Designer was Alex Marcou, whose career started at the world-famous Abbey Road Studios in London where he worked with some of the most talented classical orchestras, soloists, conductors and producers as a resident Recording Engineer. He was also involved in the recording of numerous Hollywood film soundtracks including Philadelphia, Braveheart, GI Jane and Dark City, and has banked awards for his work on the recording and mixing of ‘The Three Tenors’ live concert which was held at the start of the 1998 FIFA World Cup in Paris. He’s also been sound designing, recording and editing podcasts, and his work on the Audible series ‘The Climate Of Change’ with the actor Cate Blanchett has won numerous awards over the last couple of years.
Providing the music was Composer Sophie Cotton, who, since graduating from the Royal College of Music has composed for many theatre productions including Romeo and Juliet at the RSC / Barbican and as a Music Associate at The National Theatre. Recent highlights include: The Score at London’s Haymarket Theatre (Starring Brian Cox), Sleepwalker at Sadler’s Wells produced by Royal Ballet Principal, Alexander Campbell, a five star production of A View from the Bridge at York Theatre Royal and Where We Are – a dance film collaborating with principals from the Royal Ballet. She also recently composed the score for The Goblin King and Me – an audio drama for Bafflegab Media and Radio 4, marking 10 years since the death of David Bowie. If you haven’t heard it, it’s still on BBC Sounds – have a listen.
