This Monday a lovely (at least, I hope he’s lovely) BT Openreach engineer is coming round to install ISDN in my house.
I don’t know a single VO for whom this has been an easy, straightforward experience and I’m fully expecting to spend two weeks making fraught phone calls trying to convince BT that no, I DIDN’T want ADSL, I wanted ISDN. And no, it’s not for data transfer, it’s for talking.
I’m hoping, that by signing up via a third party (Telecom IT, who have been spot on with the customer service, so far) I can cut out the dealing with BT.
Here’s hoping I have some hair left by Monday evening. If I do, I’ll need some little friends to help me test the connection!
